Axiom Education Victoria Consortium

Description

On 15 December 2008 it was announced that the Axiom Education Victoria Consortium would design, build, finance and maintain 11 new schools located in Melbourne’s west, south and north for a 25-year period as a public private partnership.

The Consortium comprises ABN AMRO as sponsor, Abigroup as builder, United Group Services as facilities manager and architects Hayball and Gray Puksand.

The schools now opened include:

  • Aitken Creek Primary School
  • Alkira Secondary College
  • Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School
  • Cranbourne East Primary School
  • Cranbourne East Secondary College – PVIS
  • Derrimut Primary School
  • Kororoit Creek Primary School
  • Lyndhurst Primary School
  • Mernda Primary School
  • Point Cook Prep - Year 9 College
  • Taylors Hill Primary School
  • Truganina South Primary School

In addition, the new schools integrate additional community hubs with the Government joining the YMCA providing long day care at six of the schools and an aquatic centre with a 25-metre pool at Kororoit Creek Primary School.

All education and school curriculum services will continue to be publicly delivered.
