The Construction Supplier Register is an open pre-qualification scheme for suppliers of construction works and services interested in Victorian Government building and construction projects.
The Construction Supplier Register (CSR) prequalification scheme lists prequalified suppliers that have demonstrated they possess the necessary expertise, management systems and financial capacity to undertake works or construction related services for Victorian Government construction projects.
Suppliers listed on the CSR are eligible to be invited to tender for Victorian Government construction projects.
The CSR is structured into two main sections:
- suppliers of construction works, such as builders
- suppliers of construction related services, such as engineers and architects.
This prequalification scheme operates in accordance with the Ministerial Directions and Instructions for Public Construction Procurement in Victoria.
Coming soon: New Construction Supplier Register IT platform, the Construction Supplier Register Portal
The Construction Supplier Register’s new IT platform, the Construction Supplier Register Portal, is in the final stages of development. It will replace the current Lotus Notes-based system making it easier for Victorian Government and state agency users of the Construction Supplier Register to search, identify, shortlist and access registered supplier information, including supplier performance reports (where Victorian government departments and state agencies have provided them).
Launch of the new portal is expected by mid-July 2024 with further updates to be published on this webpage.
From 31 May 2024, the Construction Supplier Register is not accepting any new applications for pre-qualification until the new portal is live.
National Prequalification System for Non-residential Building
The Construction Supplier Register administers the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council’s National Prequalification System for Non-residential Building greater than $50 million in Victoria.
