Each Victorian government department and state agency using the Construction Supplier Register is required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Treasury and Finance, as the Lead Department.
Government departments and state agencies with a Memorandum of Understanding are classified as either a:
- micro (up to 4 buyer licences)
- small (5-7 buyer licences)
- medium (8-20 buyer licences)
- large (21-60 buyer licences) buyer
based on the number of buyer licences required.
Each government department and state agency is charged a flat rate based on the upper threshold of licences for their class, as a base charge.
A surcharge applies to government departments and state agencies that benefit from using customised services from the Construction Supplier Register.
The Construction Supplier Register’s funding model subsidises the external costs involved in assessing and monitoring new and existing pre-qualified construction works and services suppliers. This includes independent Occupational Health and Safety Management and financial assessments.
Invoices are circulated annually to each Government agency’s nominated representative(s) for payment.
