Treasury Theatre is a state-of-the-art event facility available for hire to the public, and Victorian Government departments and agencies, for a nominal fee.

Location: Lower Plaza, 1 Macarthur Street, East Melbourne
Hours: 8am to 11pm Monday to Friday. 8am to 6pm on weekends and public holidays. Other times by arrangement.
Spaces
The venue includes:
- a theatre-style auditorium with integrated audio visual equipment and hybrid meeting capability. Seating is tiered, with two dedicated spaces for wheelchair users. There is capacity for 216 people seated.
- a modern foyer and function space. There is capacity for 153 people standing.
- a separate food preparation area with bar fridges, dishwashers and spacious benches.

Fees
- Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm: $230 per hour
- Monday to Friday 6pm to 11pm, weekends, public holidays: $340 per hour
Accessibility
Audio loop: The auditorium is equipped with audio loop technology, delivering crystal-clear sound directly to hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
Wheelchair accessible: The venue is fully accessible. A wheelchair lift provides access to the auditorium and a dedicated bathroom is located on site.

For those hiring the theatre from overseas, please note the following requirements:
- A public liability insurance certificate must be provided at the time of booking.
- A 50 per cent deposit is required to confirm your booking. Please ensure payment is made within seven days of receiving the invoice.
