In 2022-23, the CSF received $166.97 million in revenue and incurred $96.33 million in grant payments as reported in the
Annual Report.
Funding from the CSF was provided to support various projects with community benefits that align with the CSF funding objectives legislated in the Gambling Regulation Act 2003.
During the 2022-23 financial year the CSF trust had an opening cash balance of $119.34 million, with net cash movement of $60.08 million resulting in a closing cash balance of $187.42 million.
Below is a percentage breakdown of the CSF 2022-23 grant expenditure by funding purpose:
- 42.32 per cent of the CSF funding was allocated for tackling problem gambling which is one of the top priorities for the CSF.
- 20.89 per cent of the CSF funding was allocated to community services related projects.
- 16.87 per cent of the CSF funding was allocated to arts, tourism and youth related projects.
- The remaining 19.92 per cent of funding was allocated across various other funding objectives.
